‘Poisonous Flowers’
Tattoo flash sheet
This was my second major project in the final term of my course, I have always been interested in tattoos and tattoo design so I decided I wanted to have a go at making my own.
I love all things floral and a lot of my own tattoos follow this theme so it seemed fitting to make a sheet full of flowers. I settled on a theme of poisonous flowers as I wanted the sheet to follow a set niche rather than just random flowers that I like.
I did some research into flash sheet layouts and also different styles of tattoos to see what I liked best and what I wanted my own designs to look like. I really liked the bold lines and shading of traditional style tattoos so I integrated some of that into my sheet.
The designs were first sketched in my sketchbook, and were then scanned in and lined using Procreate on an iPad. This helped me achieve super crisp lines and smooth shading.
